MYTH: I NEED TO EXERCISE VIGOROUSLY IF I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT.
TRUTH: Vigorous exercise is not needed for weight loss or cardiovascular health. If the body is already exhausted and depleted (and most of us are!), then most exercise can actually make you worse.
TRUTH: OVEREXERCISING CAN DEPLETE NUTRIENTS, CAN STRESS THE BODY, AND CAN CAUSE OXIDANT DAMAGE.
TRUTH: You need to move your body and have physical activity in order to lose weight. But not all physical activity is supportive to your body, especially in our fast-paced world.
Suggestion: TRY YOGA. While sometimes intense, with the focus on awareness and breathing, you’ll know better what your edge is. You want to get strong and flexible AND keep your stamina and be safe.
See you in class!
